SENSITIVE CHAOS

Coulisse Gallery, Stockholm, Sweden, 2022

In Sensitive Chaos, seven artists come together as a little crack in a constellation of anthropocentric thinking. Here; animals, nature and hybrid forms rule. Born from existential improvisation, Sensitive Chaos is a metamorphosis, a hymn for chaos.

After coming into contact with the unformed, I can’t say what I am anymore.

Forms are created by defining their outer lines, the weight of their existence, the density of experience.

Forms are destroyed by reaching in too many directions, giving in to the stream of wanting to live.

When encountering the unformed there’s a sense of chaos, of melting matter, of not wanting to be fully awake. The feeling is weightless, yet there is nothing as dense.

These encounters aren’t mystical. They just are. Parts of me shut down, mutate, change forever. Eventually the chaos consumes me, my persona, the form I once was and thought would always be.

Seeing myself – the inner sense of self – change in this way makes me think there’s a purpose after all.

Beauty, it doesn’t last. What lasts is already dead, inanimate in its ways.
